Bio

Olga Leffers is the founder of the VintageDream gallery of vintage jewelry and clothing, an art historian, an expert on vintage and conscious consumption, a collector, a columnist, and a fashion historian. In Olga’s collection, which is considered one of the best in Eurasia, there are more than 10 thousand pieces. VintageDream presents valuable items of the 20th century from the most famous fashion houses: Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel, Dior, Oscar De La Renta, Nina Ricci, Miriam Haskell, Trifari, Joseff of Hollywood, and others.

Olga also acts as an organizer and curator of large exhibitions in Russia and abroad. She writes columns in several publications, including Elle, InStyle, Marie Claire, Grazia, Posta-Magazine, Robb Report, RBC Style, Hello!, where she talks about how to invest in jewelry and what is typical for this or that fashion era.

Olga has worked on numerous exhibitions: she curated “I love Chanel” at the Moscow Fashion Museum in 2016, and in 2018 she organized “Shocking Elsa” in Milan, where Elsa Schiaparelli jewelry was exhibited. Later, in the spring of 2019 in Venice, she presented a collection of vintage costume jewelry and clothing by Schiaparelli as part of the “Russian Cultural Mission” project.

In 2019, Olga became the curator of the exhibition of the world-renowned photographer Vladimir Sychev “Great couturiers of a bygone era.” Unique Karl Lagerfeld and YSL pieces from the VintageDream collection and rare snapshots of cult couturiers of high fashion, including Pierre Berger, Karl Lagerfeld, and Yves Saint Laurent, were presented in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Olga is an ideologist and organizer of a series of public talks with opinion leaders on the topics of conscious consumption and slow fashion – a new trend in the fashion world. In 2019 together with the publication 7sisters.ru a public talk “Conscious Consumption in the Fashion World” was conducted. In 2020, together with Woman Who Matters, the #VintageMatters photo project was presented, dedicated to the problem of the detrimental impact of overproduction and mass consumption of clothing on the environment.

In November 2020, as part of the online forum Woman Who Matters, Olga Leffers participated as a speaker in the discussion “Together Toward Sustainable Development. The Power of Collaboration.” As part of her educational activities, Olga regularly participates in important events. In particular, she holds public talks, lectures, and meetings in online and offline formats. In 2020-2021 some of such projects were:

● A creative collaboration with the famous New York artist Mila Akopova;
● “5 Women of Fashion Who Changed the World”
● a charity lecture with Tim Ilyasov aimed at raising funds to install a memorial plaque to fashion designer Nadezhda Lamanova;
● Public talks “Fashion Images in the Film Industry” with Victoria Iskova and Tatiana Dolmatovskaya, and “Bohemian Chic of Old and New Istanbul” with Karina Oshroeva.

Personal life: married, raising three children.
